Spanish medical experts have found in recent experiments that taking vitamin and omega-3 supplements can improve the symptoms of autism.
 
According to ISNA, children with autism who take vitamin and omega-3 fatty acid supplements have fewer symptoms than other children with the disorder.
The researchers reviewed data from 27 studies that included 1,028 children with autism. The children were randomly selected and each received a different dietary supplement.
 
According to researchers, taking vitamin and omega-3 supplements has been shown to improve some of the symptoms of autism, including improving social skills, speech, concentration, communication, behavioral problems, better sleep, and reducing repetitive behaviors.
 
The findings show that some nutritional interventions play a role in the clinical control of autism-related disorders. Also, the underlying mechanism of the effectiveness of nutritional interventions on the symptoms of autism is not known. This important question has not been evaluated in this study and the available evidence in this regard is not conclusive.
 
According to Japan Today, although vitamin and omega-3 supplements help children with autism, parents cannot be advised to start taking these supplements for their children until more accurate and definitive studies are done.
