Do you see this moment? I have never experienced such a moment. Yesterday was the first day my five-year-old son with autism met Tornado, the dog he was supposed to accompany. We are from the United States and we live in Japan and we have been waiting for a meeting with Tornado for two years and we are ready for this day.
This picture shows the face of a mother who has not been able to hug, bathe, dress and touch her son, but sees her son as a dog who has just been considered and trained for friendship with him. Relied on. This is the face of a mother who has seen her son fail many times in socializing and finding friends on the playground. She has long witnessed her son's tears, which he has been unable to establish outside of family relationships, despite his efforts to cure autism, despite his best efforts. And now he is sitting to watch this beautiful and sad scene.
I am ready to endure any kind of hardship for my son's recovery. I bear the costs, the tears, the frustrations, the school meetings and the uncertain future. Despite Tornado, I know that everything will be resolved gradually. As a mother, I have faced many difficult and painful moments and I have shed many tears. However, seeing this moment, I had a different reason for shedding tears, which is an indescribable feeling.

Children with autism have great difficulty communicating with others. That is why these dogs are trained to care for these children. Autism is not a disease. It is a developmental disorder that cannot be treated with medication. But dogs can help people with autism overcome adversity. Their care, loyalty, playfulness and love can be a great help to these children in communicating with the world around them.
